Janice Tomeo Certified by the American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

Dr. Juan D. Gaia, President and Chief Radiologist, Valley Open MRI & Diagnostic Center, Kingston is pleased to announce Janice Tomeo has met the rigorous qualifications for certification by the premier credentialing organization for ultrasound professionals, the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Achievement of this certification acknowledges Tomeo's personal achievement of a highly recognized professional standard of excellence.

ARDMS credentials represent the highest level of competence in the medical-imaging modality of sonography (ultrasound) testing.

To earn the ARDMA credential, Tomeo met the association's strict prerequisites, including education and career-experience requirements. She also passed two comprehensive examinations: one on the physical principles underlying ultrasound diagnosis and the high-tech instruments used in ultrasound exams, and the other in the corresponding specialty area.

Tomeo has been awarded a credential as an RVT with a specialty in Vascular Technology. She practices at Valley Open MRI & Diagnostic Center, Kingston, PA.
